Senior Research Associate, Translational Science

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with members of the research and translational teams to develop pharmacodynamic (PD) and predictive biomarker assays in support of clinical program translational activities.
  • Independently design, execute and interpret innovative laboratory research to support preclinical and translational project needs.
  • Review scientific literature, as well as investigate, create, and develop new methods and technologies for project advancement.
  • Support CRO vendor relationships, external assay qualification and validation as well as clinical data analysis arising from outsourced activities.
  • Prepare technical reports, summaries, protocols and quantitative analyses.
  • Communicate results regularly at team meetings to ultimately drive decision-making.
  • Maintain organized lab records and documentation.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • BS or MS with minimum of 3-5 years related immunology, oncology, or biology laboratory experience, working in biotech/pharma or academic environment.
  • Highly self-motivated, energetic, & flexible team player with innovative mindset and ability to tackle projects with drive, energy and discipline.
  • Experience with a wide range of immunological and molecular/cell based assays and techniques including: cell culture, ELISA, MSD, Luminex, multi-color flow cytometry.
  • Prior experience with one or more of the following preferred: primary cell isolation, immunohistochemistry, DNA/RNA isolation, PCR, western blotting, LC/MS.
  • Experience with assay development, validation and transfer would be advantageous.
  • Efficient time management, organization, communication and problem-solving skills.
