Scientist/Senior Scientist, Immunology

We are seeking a motivated and experienced immunologist interested in drug discovery and development to join our team.  Primary responsibilities include performing in vitro/ex vivo cell culture assays with primary human leukocytes to validate and advance therapeutic molecules in the context of immuno-oncology/cancer immunotherapy. In addition, this individual will design and conduct experiments as well as prepare written reports for IND filings. Previous experience with immune cell profiling and cell based functional assays using multi-parameter flow cytometry is essential.  In addition, the well qualified candidate will be capable of working across functional groups and communicating results with stakeholders of diverse backgrounds to ensure efficient advancement of research programs and delivering decision-making data.



  • Works as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support one or more antibody discovery programs.
  • Designs and conducts in vitro cellular immunology experiments for establishing target validation and anti-tumor immune responses both independently and in collaboration with others in a team-based environment
  • Uses leading-edge knowledge of scientific principles, concepts, and techniques to the to advance drug discovery programs within the company
  • Prioritizes and executes experiments according to project timelines
  • Maintains advanced knowledge of current scientific literature as well as investigates, creates, and develops new methods and technologies for project advancement
  • Interacts with external groups, such as contract research organizations and academic/industry collaborators to advance project objectives
  • Utilizes primary human immune cell cultures from PBMCs, tumor resections and other tissue sources to address key biological questions in vitro
  • Supports development and identification of peripheral PD/biomarkers using in vivo and ex vivo techniques
  • Assists the in vivo team with tissue processing and evaluation to support PK/PD studies
  • Contributes to quality and timely submission of data summaries, documents and materials for regulatory filings or other data review forums.
  • Presents data at internal and external meetings

  • PhD with or without post-doc or BSc/MSc with 5+ year experience in immunology research (title will be commensurate with experience)
  • Strong background in human and mouse immunology. Expertise in Treg or NK cell biology a plus
  • Extensive experience with cell culture and multi-parameter flow cytometry.
  • Skilled laboratory scientist with prior experience pertaining to tissue processing, primary immune cell isolation, cell-based cytotoxicity assays, immunological ex vivo bioassays
  • Experience with additional relevant laboratory techniques and technologies, such as cytokine profiling (MSD/Luminex/ELISA), CRISPR, lentiviral transduction of primary cells/cell lines and transcriptional profiling (RNA-seq)
  • Experience with assay development to support biomarker development strategies is a plus.
